Design Intention- This trigger system is specifically designed for defensive applications where safety, predictability, and reliability are priority. Functioning optimally between 3.5 & 4.5lb break weight this performance system instills unwavering confidence in your defensive carry Glock. The pre travel is adjustable**,however for this system it is reduced and seized at 1/8th of an inch. The wall is defined and highly predictable. This combination is imperative for gun-fighting and tactical applications. It equips the operator with an index for consistency and predictability as well as insurance against stress induced autonomic discharge. The Break is quick and crisp with a glass rod snap feel. The short, fast, tactile and aggressive reset is unavoidably present. This combined with zero over travel is quintessential for controlling follow up shot placement in a defensive context. Collectively this trigger system is designed to maximize terminal ballistics while minimizing collateral damage. The focus is, with all sincerity, keeping you alive.
Physical Modifications and Enhancements-Mechanically the trigger bar is smoothed and de-burred of any tooling. Then it is re-edged and re-radiused with a proprietary method consistent for defensive application. Several other modifications and enhancements are performed on the trigger bar to maximize the ultra smooth drag free movement of the bar over polymer and metal parts. The trigger shoe and trigger housing's adjustable set screws are 18/10 stainless steel, tip ground, polished, and loctite seized. Also, the trigger housing has several propitiatory enhancements to assure smooth friction free action. The trigger safety tab protrusion is flushed to match the trigger shoe surface relieving trigger finger bite. The connector is reworked, re-edged, and uniquely angled creating all the distinctive traits of this particular systems break feel and reset action. The firing pin safety plunger and reduced power spring is modified and enhanced for smoother disengagement action. All these parts are designed to work in concert and mated specifically to one another to create an extraordinary defensive trigger system.

**JG VEX shoes pre-travel is non adjustable but is fixed at the minimum safe distance.

I’ve been shooting handguns for 30 years, mostly Glocks, and had few complaints about the stock trigger. To be fair my experience with other triggers was limited to stock Sig, HK, Kimber and Rugers. Several months ago I learned about Johnny Glock while looking into an aftermarket trigger for my Glock 39. I didn’t look at his website or read any articles because it seemed “gimmicky” based on the name. Eventually I narrowed down my choices to two triggers. Fortunately I discovered a video on Johnny Glocks YouTube channel (“This Glock Failed a Drop Test - Here’s Why”). It immediately changed my perception of Johnny Glock. He seems honest, genuinely concerned about the safety and satisfaction of his customers, willing to go above and beyond to help his customers, committed to providing safe and quality products, and thoroughly knowledgeable about the detailed intricacies of how Glock triggers function (and don’t function). All of this was further confirmed as I watched more videos. He explains things in a straightforward manner and provides a rationale as to why certain things work better than others. He encourages people to contact him for help and even provides his phone number in some of his YouTube videos, which is unheard of with other companies. I sent a message on a Saturday evening inquiring about a combat trigger for my Glock 39 as a lot of companies don’t offer a trigger for that particular model. I assumed someone would respond to me the following week during business hours. To my surprise I received a reply within an a hour that appeared to be from Johnny himself informing me they do make a trigger for it along with how to order it. At that moment I decided to order the Combat Trigger along with the trigger shoe and striker upgrades. My order arrived about a week later and I received updates every step of the way. Prior to this I had only field stripped a Glock, but the included directions and videos made installation and adjustment incredibly easy. I loved the trigger as soon as I tried it and it functioned just as described: the wall is defined and predictable, the break is quick and crisp with a glass rod snap feel, with a short, fast, tactile and aggressive reset. The pull is smooth and noticeably lighter. In short, I love this trigger and will be purchasing more for some of my other Glocks. The only complaint is that one of the rolled pins in the trigger shoe wasn’t fully inserted which left a sharp edge sticking out. I smoothed it down, but that removed some of the black coating. I have no doubt that they would have exchanged it for a different one had I asked. From now on I will only use Johnny Glock triggers in my Glocks. I also purchased a connector for a G32 and it made a substantial improvement by decreasing pull weight and making it smoother.
If you are looking for a trigger for concealed carry or competition, I highly recommend one from Johnny Glock. The investment is well worth it and you can rest assured that you will receive a fantastic product made from quality materials, great customer service and assistance if you need help with installation, adjustments, and trouble shooting. I'm impressed a Glock trigger can feel this good with OEM components. Very happy with my purchase. Install was easy, just remember to push down AND back on the striker/channel liner when you are taking the back plate off.
I purchased this trigger on August 31 installed it on my Glock 19 gen 5 this trigger I have about 1500 rounds through it right now. I feel like I’m shooting now $5000 handgun. This trigger is absolutely amazing. If you’re thinking about picking up this trigger do it you won’t regret it forgive me Johnny for my past comments. this trigger is absolutely amazing. I am blown away.
The Combat trigger setup with the Vex shoe is a real game changer in my carry pistols (19 and 43x) and the required mechanics adjustment to use the shoe correctly when pulling the trigger (watch the dang video on YT) really improved my shooting as a consequence. I'll likely be back for a third soon.
This trigger is awesome and will be picking up another for my other Glock in the future. It’s the best a Glock trigger can be.
